Household Essentials

A Clean Home is a Healthy Home.

Household and Personal Care Essentials Program

Moravia Cares is launching a new program dedicated to securing healthy homes for vulnerable families.

Moravia Cares is dedicated to becoming the pulse of low-income communities in Pennsylvania, whilst breaking the link between unhealthy housing and unhealthy families. The program is designed to provide the necessary learning tools, resources, and home and personal care products to help families secure a healthy home so vulnerable families in low-income communities can thrive.

Home Safety Statistics

  • A recent EPA study has shown that indoor pollutant levels average two to five times higher than outdoor levels.
  • The American Psychological Association (APA) states cluttered environments leads to increased cortisol levels, which are associated with stress. Conversely, maintaining a clean and organized home has been linked to improved mental well-being, reduced anxiety, and enhanced mood.
  • Cluttered and poorly maintained living spaces increase the risk of accidents - the National Safety Council (NSC) states that household accidents, such as slips and falls, are a leading cause of unintentional injuries.

Moravia Cares Household and Personal Care Essentials Program

Moravia Cares will continue to provide a presence on the ground in low-income areas filling the homes of low-income families by handing out cleaning products, personal care, and hygiene products to families within the community. Moravia Cares intends to partner with other like-minded companies and organizations in this effort. They will be organizing mobile events to distribute these products and resource tools to residents of these communities.
