Mobile Food Bank Program
Moravia Cares is launching a new program dedicated to fighting food insecurity for vulnerable families.
Moravia Cares is dedicated to becoming the pulse of low-income communities in Pennsylvania, whilst breaking the link between hunger and unhealthy families. Our program is designed to make mobile food banks and community pantries become long-term remedies for hunger relief, so vulnerable families in low-income communities can thrive.
Food Insecurity Stats
- 1 in 8 Americans struggled with food insecurity in 2020, with children disproportionately affected.
- The United Health Foundation (UHF) states nearly 1 out of 10 (~11%) of Pennsylvania seniors suffer from malnutrition.
- Approximately 31% of Philadelphia's children experienced food insecurity in 2020, according to Philabundance.
Moravia Cares Mobile Food Bank Program
Moravia Cares believes that establishing mobile food banks and community pantries, are vital steps towards addressing food insecurity within our community. By implementing our plan, we provide immediate relief to those in need while promoting sustainable solutions and fostering community engagement. Moravia Cares intends to partner with other like-minded companies and organizations in our effort to distribute products and tools to residents of our communities.
